Match? Sure, that could be lived with. Especially if you can have all the creature comforts for your drive to and from the track. Nothing like listening to more than one speaker and not uninsulated road noise, or flicking on the sstandard a/c while driving the car the other 85% of the time it's not making super fast laps.

Let's face it, its a pipe dream for Ford to make a mustang that compares to the z/28 at a lower price, its not happenin, end of discussion. But will Ford be able intentional to put out a sick engine that eats gen5 camaros for breakfast? Hell yes, and that's a good thing, hopefully Chevy gets the hint and steps up the horsepower game!

Quite honestly, the last thing I'd want in a frequently tracked car is a whole laundry-list of features I wouldn't ever use when out on the track and rarely if ever anyway. I agree about the speakers - even headphones have two, and A/C does provide better defrosting action when the windows are closed. After that, the list of "gotta-have's" gets really short and the list of "don't want's" grows. Maybe instead of "add" options, it's time for performance-intended cars to offer a variety of "delete options", and when you opt up to a car with 1LE or higher performance intent you open up a number of these delete options that wouldn't have to be available otherwise. I Guess This Belongs Here...
NEW YORK – Ever since the days of the Hatfields and the McCoys, rivalries have been a cornerstone of American culture. Some become endlessly bitter feuds. Others, like the healthy competition between the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang, become a driving force for constant improvement.
“For five decades, the Camaro and the Mustang have been battling it out in every possible setting,” said Mark Reuss, executive vice president, GM Global Product Development. “These two cars have been striving to beat each other on the track, on the drag strip and on the streets. That competition is a big part of why both cars are so amazing, and so popular, today.” http://media.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/n...alries-gm.html Last edited by LOWDOWN; 04-15-2014 at 12:50 PM. |

And before certain elements consider the above Birthday blessing as a sign of GM weakness, it is in fact a sign of mutual respect, as both companies have shared, previously.
