Don't post much in this thread ... but had a question for the rest of the V6 crowd. I will be doing a brake job in the near future. Have found several different brands of rotors online, but unsure what to stay away from, what's decent, and keeping in consideration the price.

Any suggestion?? Going to replace pads as well.

I went with R1 Concept drilled/slotted rotors and got Hawk HPS pads. Zero issues so far.

I've wanted to wash mine this way, but could never find info saying it was safe with this filter. I know other dry filters are washable, though. After about 65,000 miles on the filter, it's pretty discolored even after cleaning.

I haven't heard any complaints about these from anyone.

TODAYYYYY'S QUESTION????

When lower cars everyone talk about 1" , 1.2", 1.4"... how do you measure the drop to know how much you have? From the floor to the fender? The wheel gap?

I think it is the starting height of the fender to floor and then the ending height of the same measurement and the distance lost is the drop. Or with springs it might be the actual height of aftermarket springs are that much shorter than the stock ones.

Here's a link explaining how to clean it (about the 3rd section down):

Edit: another more detailed how-to:

Pretty much. At least in my eyes. U don't want any closer cuz of the possibiltlity of hitting the fender.
