1100 Status....

Yep, it's my first post, my first corvette, my first everything!!! A little over a year ago, a guy ran a red light and T-Boned me on my motorcycle at 50 mph. I wasn't supposed to make it. BUT, as I was in ICU for the first 5 days, only 2 things I remember. #1-my 13 yr old granddaughter visiting me and the look of terror on her face when she saw me all banged up. #2-my wife said, "You know we're done with bikes?" All I could say was, "Yes Dear." Then she said, "But if you want your corvette you can get it now." All I said was a stoic, "Yes Dear." "But I don't want a vintage one, or a used one, I want the new C7." She says, "I don't care what kind of vette we get as long as you understand, we're done with bikes." SO HERE I AM!!! Anxiously awaiting.

Thank you for your help, Becky. Should this be something I should check on weekly or every 2 weeks or how often??

1100 Status means... it needs allocation... to be placed...

I would suggest asking your dealer about allocation...
and where you stand.

I'm probably a day or 2 early because I know they make the cars sit bayed for at least 3 days for inspection. My dealer starts incurring interest on the 8th, so maybe it will be shipped soon ? RQTPRN MI thank youuuuu

There is no specific time frame for "bayed"...
They try to ship as soon as possible.....

Hello Becky. Life is good in this part of NY. Picked up the new ride yesterday and was able to put a few miles on it. I am thinking about putting the paint protection film on it. Any suggestions. I just want to thank you again for all the updates. Here are some pics that I promised. John

hope so, was at 4200 Friday morning and only had to go 5 hours to the dealer. slow boat to china deal I guess

There are a number of paint protection films...3M is one...
The key..is the installer...
..the better installation...the better the look / protection.

You know you would think that GM would provide a little better customer service. The longer our order sits at 1102, the more disgusted I get with GM.

It is hard to get any reliable information from our dealer who guards his allocation information like it was the "secret of the ages".

I know many of you feel the same way. You would think GM would be a little more forthcoming with status codes, if for no other reason than good will!

I certainly understand your frustration...

The list of status codes that benchmark an order
are listed on page 1 of this thread.
GM communicates status on all orders thru each dealer....

Ultimately your dealer is the pivotal position,
It is up to them to keep you informed.
