It's EXCELLENT, and MAN IS IT GORGEOUS.
I haven't quite figured out the fighting system. I get my ass kicked pretty regularly, but I can feel that it has a certain flow that I just haven't mastered.

It's awesome!!! I just got the 3rd power not too long ago (hilarious, but no spoilers). Also the graphics are fantastic, and to think it's an open world game with this type of visuals.

I'm getting better at it. My favorite thing to do so far is to stop one of those APCs, take out the DUPs, then leap off of the top of it and comet drop that bitch until it blows. So cool.

No demo that I'm aware of.
Side note back to Oculus Rift talk, Facebook bought it and now a lot of game developers are backing out. |

I think this move is going to backfire on Facebook. Apparently someone didn't tell them that only about 25% of their target user base can actually use a VR headset. |

They said that they want game development to continue, and if they keep Carmack on, they may have the clout to convince game developers to continue to develop for it. I have a feeling though that Zuck just bought a new toy that's going to sit on the shelf. EDIT: Oh yeah, and I had another problem with Facebook's supposed vision for this thing. They want it to be a social experience, so...what...You're looking at your friends in real time in a virtual environment and they're ALSO wearing this huge headgear? WTF? That's stupid. Not to mention, the camera technology that would be needed to render this virtual environment would be prohibitively expensive for your average Facebook user. I also have a big problem with the way this has been handled. When you do a Kickstarter, you want to make a project successful right...You expect to give your money to get it to a point a venture capitalist might invest a couple of million to turn it into something that meets the vision. That being said, you don't expect them to sell out for BILLIONS OF DOLLARS. Everyone who put money into the Kickstarter should get the free retail product EVERY TIME they release a new version for LIFE. That won't even come close to the $250K+ each backer would have made if it were a real investment, and would be an excellent "thank you" to the people who made it all possible. Now the founder of Oculus gets to collect all of that fat cash and swim in it, and backers don't get squat. Kinda f'd up to me.

From what I've read, the contract of the buyout also says that the backers of the kickstarter will get a certain percentage of the buyout since they can no longer receive the gifts promised to them for pledging.
