It was so AWEsome! Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a big hero of mine.
So glad they put it on in prime time, can't wait until next week. More science please!

Clicked onto NatGeo yesterday afternoon, and they were running a marathon of Carl Sagan Cosmos... holy smokes, that guy is filled with logic and brilliance and philosophy and rationale that is explained in ways (short words, allegories/ metaphors/ analogies) that even this here ol' redneck can grasp, and marvel at the concepts...

Show was so good and well done last night that I had it on the 50" and turned the lights off and watched like a movie. I'll be doing that every week.

We watched part of it & taped it to watch in whole later. It looks like it is going to be a good series. Yeah, we had it on the big screen TV with lights out too. Would have been a good thing to see in Imax 3D. It appears it is running on several channels.

Great first episode! I've never felt so small in my life. We really are just nothing but a small speck in time. Remember, there are more stars in the universe than all of the grains of sand on ALL of the beaches of the world. Comprehend that one my friends.

What surprised me is the statement that there are billions of rogue planets in the galaxy. I never would have imagined. A very brief online search suggest the number may be 200 billion. I mean that's tough to say, but just the thought of if is amazing.

2nd episode was pretty good and learned things about dogs I didn't know before and about saturns moon titan was mostly liquid natural gas. Also interesting idea couldn't we in theory build a space station there and try and find a way to use natural gas to fuel space ships and it can be used to explore further? I know it would be a massive undertaking and not happen in my lifetime but im sure they are thinking about that somewhere.

I really enjoyed last nights episode. The portion on DNA blew my mind. Makes you feel so insignificant in the larger scheme of things.
The part on dogs and natural selection was also very interesting. Can't wait for next week.

I totally forgot it was on. Can't watch tonight. Don't have NatGeo or whatever.
Maybe they'll put it on the internet.

It wasn't on NatGeo last night only on Fox this time and if you have on demand from your cable provider you can get it from there, also there is a app as well I dunno if the app shows episodes so might be something to look into.

The original Cosmos by Carl Sagan (Book and Series) is still one of my all time favorites. This reboot W/NDT is certainly starting out well. Can't wait for the rest of it! Have the original on DVD and still watch it about once a year, still relevant today. If you've never seen it I think you can find it on youtube. Even though it's 30 some years old it'll still blow your mind!

It just seems disjointed to me. Hope it gets better. I have high hopes.

I just want to know why wasn't I taught this in school like how its explained in this series geez If was taught like this I feel my life would be a bit different and paid more attention in school. Yea the Third episodes again has taught me more about history and the wonders of space and how as a species a lot of things could be very different if just things didn't happen.
