Correct. Another thing is that if a LEO is being out of hand or extremely disrespectful just stay as calm and polite as possible. Most patrol vehicles have video these days (not all) but usually there is a body mic with the camera. stay polite and then issue a complaint through the department. That way the problem can get resolved, if it stays unresolved that LEO will continue his actions at the expense of public until something is done.

This post wasn't initially intended to purpose the officer for pulling me over for what I did.. But nobody deserves to be talked to like that especially when we are tax payers of the city. A nicer approach would deffinately be appreciated and some people and it is the truth indeed... Take advantage of their authority. So why am I being bombed on for giving the officer the most respect I can offer? Without giving him an attitude.. And respectfully putting my phone away as he wished?
I know of many people that have gold cards that get away with dui's.. Or they just flash it and the officer is forced to let them go because they are direct family.
It is what it is yea... I'm paying for what messed up on but I don't feel that many of you jump on my back about it.

We are never forced. Officer discretion. We make choices. We don't just say aww shucks you're related to an officer you're free to go.

Everyone's jumping on your back because you know you did something illegal and here you are making calls trying to get out of it.

Truth is I did do something illegal which I take full responsibility for. But I guess to that extent I'm asking for something I don't deserve..
