Revving engine in front of cop

I was revving my engine to impress some friends at school and sure enought the cop was in the Parking lot so he comes over and tells me I shouldn't be doing that because he doesn't want to hear the rice burners start revving theirs. I laughed and responded with "ok won't happen again. But it sounds pretty good right?" He goes " yea, do you have flowmasters or something?" "No just a muffler delete" he says good luck passing smog and drives off. This made my day.

I'm surprised he didn't issue a ticket for not having mufflers.

I think in general Cops can appreciate nice cars if you are not being reckless.
A few weeks ago I came out of a dunkin donuts and 3 county sheriffs were standing around my car, first I had to think, did I do something wrong, then I thought how cliche, cops at a donut shop. They were just admiring the car, asked me about engine, breaks and so on and then complimented me on it and how clean it was.

I think so because I drive my nova around with m/t slicks on it and they don't give me any issues. of course their windows may be shaking enough so they don't see them

A member in our Camaro club is a State Police Officer and has a beautiful 2013 Camaro modded out so yes they do have an appreciation for these babies!

I have a buddy who's a cop. He's married with kid so we don't get together often. But he comes over and we drink, go out to bars, whatever. Just normal people hanging out.

I try not to rev cars around cops. A few years back a buddy of mine revved his bronco with a cop near by and got an "abuse of power" ticket.

I'm friends with several peace officers and when I used to ride motorcycles..we'd tear up the streets together. They never even use their badge to get out of trouble, but then again..we never ever ever sped anywhere at anytime.
