Congrats on the personal best ! Sorry about the clutch but when I read the headline I was thinking the worst.... Keep the manual.

that is ridiculous!! It appears you are way overpowering the clutch! Heat marks galore and totally not up to the task. Wow...what next?

Hey Jess! I've been gone on a family vacation for awhile, I'm just getting caught up on everything right now, I'll respond to your pm in a couple minutes. Sorry about the clutch, definetely stay away from the Monster clutch, its just a repainted brand X anyway. I had Andy swap out my 6 speed manual on my SS to the 6L80 with a 3200 stall, the car was way faster drag racing but the swap was not cheap. As you know Andy makes everything look & work like it came from the factory, I was very happy with it. I wish we lived closer because I'd let you drive my car & see what you think of driving the paddle shifters with high horsepower, I'll be at Camarofest if you want to take me up on the offer. Hope you get it fixed soon.

That's about as false and uneducated a response as I've seen.

The only clutch I sell right now that's not made by us the LT1-xx series, we clearly say it's a modified GM piece. I've got clutches running in tens of thousands of cars world wide, with the fastest to date at a 8.8 in the 1/4. You don't do that by merely spray paint and hopes.

Monster Clutches are our own - don't believe what you hear, I own the place and pay the bills.

You know what? I totally apologize for that statement then, I'm sorry I spread something that wasn't true, that's what I've been told from a few different people.

I appreciate the apology!

There are many rumors spread about many companies. One of the main reasons I'm on this forum, besides helping everyone here I can with tech information/advice and to sell things (obviously), is to squelch the misinformation floating around on this forum about my company. We've been in business since 2007, we've been blessed and have grown exponentially to a 12,000 sq/ft building, over 15 employees, engineering payroll, etc. etc. - it's not only something I'm incredibly proud of (we started with literally a dream and a 1000 sq/ft storage facility) it's also what supports my family and the other 15+ people that work for me. Obviously we take clutches very seriously and we're constantly looking for ways to improve. This market alone has seen the most from us and we plan to continue that trend.

so, if the monster clutches are so great, why such a horrific failure here? Was the clutch selected by the OP underrated for the hp of his setup? This slippage is ridiculous! It looks as bad as my '02 Z06 stock clutch with 615rwhp in front of it.

LOL, the OP didn't have a Monster in his car, he had a Mantic.

The third picture down in his post clearly says Mantic on the disc.
