'Wasting natural resources' is available in AZ. So is 'exhibition of speed.'

Kind of like giving a 15 year old a curfew violation. Give 'em enough of a reason to ticket you and they will oblige.

Wow. "Wasting natural resources"? You could turn practically anything into a ticket with that! Singing in the car causes an unnecessary consumption of oxygen...

LOL, don't laugh they will make a law that you cannot sing to the radio or CD while driving.

What's worse if you sing off key that is even more points on your DL!

I have to ask if any of my fellow officers have heard of the term "Chippy"? In my department that is the term used for someone's girlfriend on the side. Yes it does happen, but not by me. I was thinking of getting personalized plates for my chippy camaro.

ud_lose, I am not an officer, however, I have quite a freinds that are, and YES I have heard the term before. BUT, its used in two different ways. Its a term from, a different generation, like the 50's/60's, as a dated British slang term for a harlot....some of the younger guys use as a term for Highway Patrol officers....like the TV show CHiP'S.......so they say CHiPpy. I can olny assume its a regional thing.

I have plenty of cop friends and I have to say that the system has gone wacko. We need cops to be solving murders, looking for child molesters, kiddy porn and organized crime, not giving out tickets because you have no front plate.

Absolute joke - and to think police departments always cry about having no funding or going over budget. What a waste of taxpayers money....most cops will agree to what I've said as well, it's not them who give out the marching orders.

It really depends where you live also. Some places are so dead that the cops have nothing better to do, where as say in the NYC area you really have to be doing something wrong to get pulled over.

Hell, I once got pulled over in the middle of Vermont for doing 35 in a 30. Talk about nothing better to do, lol.
