Here's something to give some thought to especially if you are limited to room or live in an apartment or dorm. You can purchase 2-3 items that won't break the bank and will give you a complete workout.

(1) Dumbells. You can get adjustable dumbells, I myself have powerblocks. They take up about 2 square feet of room and go from 10-50lbs 0r even to 75lbs.

(2) an adjustable bench. They don't take up much room and with the use of dumbells will allow for a very complete workout. You can get one with leg attachments .

(3) if you are man enough, spend 10 bucks on a jump rope. You may think it's funny but I promise you jumping rope will give you an intense cardio workout even if you're in great shape. Incorporate HIIT into it and you will melt away fat and build endurance like you wouldn't believe.

Search craigs list for some great deals. People always buy this stuff with good intensions and after they realize it's work and abort the idea, then sell this stuff cheap. Most of my equipment is commercial grade that came from gyms that closed down. Got them for pennies on the dollar.

Nice stuff! Great having your own equipment.

I got home last night, up 4 pounds for the week. Not happy, but constant sea food was good.

I've got a pretty good set up. I think of everything, other than the weights themselves, the best thing one can get and almost essential is a good power rack. It greatly reduces the risk of injury and if it's one with a cable attachment the exercise selection is huge.

I don't think the sea food was the problem, it was everything else you ate with it.

1 more workout to do tomorrow than month one of Insanity is over. Next week is recovery week and then start the second month. Thought I would take a quick pic of my progress so far!

I had to eat that bun of the lobster and crab "burger", otherwise it would have been just some weird crab cake. Ugh was it sooooooo good. Being surrounded by food constantly is a problem for me. I have a weight problem, I can't wait to eat.

Still with you guys. Completed my best workout yesterday. over 45 minutes in the basement gym. Not bad for an ol man (LOL) who hasn't worked out in nearly 20 years. That makes workout # 10 since back in it. Another week my son is done with his swim season and will be joining me for some off season condition. He is in for an awakening of what his OL man can still do. No more photos yet. Weight is now down 65 lbs. from my peak. Still have a long way to go. But hopefully by end of August I will have some photos and GOOD news.

Still fighting the battle. Getting down to my pre-Boston weight. Push ups and sit ups in the mix, need to add some 8 count body builders too.
