Racing on PS3 or PS4

anyone got any recommendations for a good racing game where you can modify cars to the nth degree (engine, tires, wheels, paint, etc)?

The last game I've seen that allowed you to do this was the NFS: Underground series on the PS2.

Nothing on PS4 yet like that. PS3 has Gran Turismo 5 and 6 (if you're gonna get one, get 6). There are others, but none that offer the same level of customization as GT.

FYI...need for speed rivals on ps4 is awesome...
