No it's a reboot. The only original robots still there are BumbleBee and Optimus Prime. But that's only because they couldn't get rid of them.

what I read is it takes place 4 years after Transformers 3

But it's not continuing the series.. It's a whole different trilogy. All new characters and all new story line is a reboot.
