Aye that's because the dealer must add the CFC voucher on top or any incentives or rebates already offered on the vehicle being bought.

No only the Automatic LLT V6 models for $3500.

Click begin here and it has a qualification tool.

Pretty ironic that it seems a lot of people view 4th gen Camaros as gas guzzlers, however they don't qualify. Seems the LS motor equipped ones got too good of gas mileage.

Not that I agree with the article below on the cars value, (if I could pick up a nice 2001 Z28 for $3000 I'd find it hard not too buy it).

http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2009/...lunkers/2.html

Cash for Clunkers: Is it for you?
2001 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Combined MPG: 19
Trade-in value: $2,700
Verdict: Can't crush it
As much as owners of the Chevrolet Camaro Z28 might love their car, they'd probably jump at the chance to get their hands on the government's $4,500. "Cash for clunkers" would be a good option for them, but the Z28 doesn't qualify.
Believe it or not, this muscle car's fuel economy is too good. It gets a combined city and highway fuel economy of 19 mpg, 1 mpg too high.

That's a major bummer for Z28 owners, since the car is worth considerably less than what it could have gotten from Uncle Sam.

I saw that article... are they on crack $2700?? I would buy one right now if I could pick it up for $2700! Check the prices, an 01 Z28 unless its got major miles on it picks up $5,000 easily.

That's just what banks will use for loans etc. They don't count mods and no cars appreciate till after 25 years on the official books.

Sounds like Cash 4 Clunkers is going too well... Might be almost over!

Just saw this... Don't know how true it is but I'd use it soon if I could.

No I understand that, but read the article, they basically say a 2001 Z28 Owner would jump at $4500 for their car, when thats so ridiculously low (even for a dead stock one, honestly modded cars are worth less.)!
