The Charger is targeted towards a younger market than the SS. The target market for the SS is 50+ crowd. When you compare cars, you have to base them on MSRP only with the same options.

Not a fan of the SS nose at all. For that kind of money my buddy picked up a mint 2008 Audi S8 with a 4 year warranty. The car stickered for $114k and has it all, unbelievable B&O stereo, alcantra interior and headliner, unbelievable ride and handling. 155mph was so smooth and solid, v10, 450hp. I would take his 6 year old car any day of the week over an SS and most any other 4 door sedan.

End thread!!! Now we're comparing the Chevy SS to a $114k car. This just keeps getting better.

So now we are gonna compare a $114k car against a $45k ...

Well I've been seeing a lot more of the older crowd with the new charger's. Not to mention the SRT8. But what makes the SS a target for the SS crowd?

If I understand your question right, all the folks I know that are getting them are actually 55 and older without kids and have other hot rods for their performance cars. The folks I'm talking about already have their Z06's , CTS V's, ZL1's and so forth along with their German imports. They all like them because the car is understated and stealthy with a clean classy look to them. These are cars that are being bought just for chilling out in.

Also my opinion of the Charger, is it looks like a big mouth bass ... For me it's GM and nothing else, always has and always will be.

Well that explains it all ! Since they already have the good looking cars. Then the looks isn't a big thing for them on these because the have the head turners already. And you can order the SRT front middle bar painted . I would have it painted because I agree the SRT front unpainted looks like a import or something.

I like it... is that Recaro furniture I see?

The old SS'es have always been dressed up variants of their siblings.

I'm betcha 99% of you folks haven't even seen one IRL yet.

Just look at that sexy beast... looks like it's saying **** you, punk.
