Correct that's not the SS and also doesn't have the LS3. Here is the SS, with a bit better exhaust note.

Sorry guys; Although the car sounds and performs great, 45k and up is asking too much. IMO they have to soundly beat the Mopar sedans in all performance categories before trying to ask for more money.

If the dealers continue to hype up this sedan with hot air, then I fear that this effort from Chevy may meet some disappointment. Chevy has a great base to work with in the SS, so they need to be more realistic with its price.

Edit: Chevy, please re-think the front seats. The fake Recaro port holes leaves much to be desired.

I don't understand the complaints about the price being to high. If you take away the GG tax the price is the same as a loaded out 2SS Camaro, and you still get more standard features in the Chevy SS. I think the car is priced very competitively with other sedans in it's class based on standard equipment.

^For roughly the same MSRP, the Chrysler twins offer more horespower, standared features and options than the SS. Arguably (although I'm not sold on the Charger's body lines) the Mopar twins seem to be more appealing in terms of exterior design and appearance.

I would never choose a Mopar product over a GM product due to the differences in engineering quality, but in this case with the SS I would probably wait for an update and/or better pricing before paying an inflated price. My honest opinion.

You have to give GM some credit, as they have done very well with the current Holden platform. I feel that it needs more studio time with the design and either more power or less weight. GM seems to have the handling, exhaust note and quality aspects nailed.

The thing about the power, they are either under rated at 415hp or they have figured a way to lower the loss with an auto trans. They have been getting 360rwhp on a dyno, and that's around 13% loss.

Its priced around the SRT. The price isn't going to come down. It beat the SRT in a car and driver comparison. Yea it has over 50 hp less but it is more of a luxury car and when you put in the good plastic in an interior, it ain't cheap.

Oh , OK! Not worth it over a top model Charger SRT and I like the previous chargers better in looks! But I'll give it to the new chargers when they have custom rims/wheels , they actually look sweet or nice.

But the top model SRT's come in around 55,000, pretty big difference in price.
