Who would like to see SS Trailblazer return?
I used to love these SUVs, with the LS2 engine they could really run and had a pretty aggressive looking design. I started thinking about them while I was riding in my friend's 2014 Jeep SRT-8(Amazing truck by the way), they really do not have any American made competition anymore. I think it would be cool for Chevy to bounce back and compete with the Jeep.

Sure would love it, we had an Envoy Denali up until October. GM had no replacement that could tow our camper and fit in our garage. We are now the proud owners of a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Edition with the 5.7L Hemi. I see JGC all over the place where we live because there is no competition from GM or Ford for that matter, in that size that can tow. We live in a more rural area where vehicles of that type are common (4WD, capable of towing, big enough to haul kids/gear, not a land yacht).

On my way to Indy for FestIII I had a trailblazer come up beside me thinking he was hot shit. Reving his engine and all. My car was making 560 rwhp and tq and his car was pretty. hahahaha He would not leave me alone. So I figured what the hell, he wants to have his feelings hurt I'll help him out. hahahahaa
So we counted from a roll ................ And it was ugly..... lmmfao . . . For ME He stomped my ass. He was obviously heavily modded not just with cosmetics. I have no clue what he had but my cr runs upper 11s on street tires. I'd guess he could run 10s. I could not hear any turbos, I believe he was either much NOS or supercharged or both. Ya. Much respect for what the TBs can come up with. haha |

I would like to see the SS come back across the board. I respected all the SS's. Even the little Cobalt SS was an awesome little car. I wasn't too crazy about the HHR-SS, but it still had it's place.

They need to drop the Trail part of the name, A Blazer SS with the TT 3.6V6 would be cool though.

^Wow. Yea some TBs are hardcore; Beware.
I don't think GM will enter the foray of performance SUVs again (at least not with the traditional body on frame design). The TBSS was the last of its genre, sadly. To be honest, I'd rather that the TBSS would stay dead than for GM to resurrect it in a half-@ss attempt, with the likeliness of a unitized body design. There are some things IMO that one should not compromise with; Truck design is one of them.

Unfortunately, Chevy doesn't have a mid-sized RWD SUV that they could use to build something like that anymore.

If they brought back a body-on-frame Blazer using the same frame as the crew cab, long-bed Colorado/Canyon, I would be a serious buyer...

I'd rather see GM make (in no particular order):
I don't think all of those are exactly marketable ideas, or even good ones. But I like each of them more than a midsize performance SUV

A GN is slated for either the 2015 or 16MY, based on the ATS with the 3.6 twin turbo.
