New to Camaros

Hello Camaro5 Community:

I will be purchasing my first Camaro later this week, going to purchase a 1LT. This will be my first rwd ever. (very excited about that) I have been driving euro for almost ten years now, and made the call to venture away from that for a few years and see what happens. I currently have a stage 2 mk4 GTI, but it is time to put a new motor in it so I have decided to look for a new car as my DD as well as new toy to build on.

I will try to search first before I ask questions, but I do have a lot of questions. Starting from scratch, I have a lot to learn about Camaros.

You will enjoy the RWD, Just be careful when you are driving it, these cars feel much slower than your actually going, can get you into trouble quicker than you think. Enjoy your purchase and keep the rubber side down.

agreed! I'm surprised I didn't get a ticket in NY/ PA in the rental. Cruising along and getting frustrated with the other drivers for going so slow looked down and whoops 75+

congrats on the new ride post pic when you pick her up! and to C5

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

I am in a similar boat! Bought my Camaro almost 2 weeks ago. Drove MINIs from 2006 until then, so it is also my first RWD car. Takes some getting used to, let me tell you...
