Good Morning/Afternoon Camaro5!

I've been a lurker for several years, since 2009, and joined a year or so ago. I'm not sure what took so long for me to make my first post and introduce myself. For that, I apologize.

I own a 1967 RS/SS Camaro that I named Jade. I've owned the car since December of 2003 and have completed 2 Frame-Off Restorations on her. she was named after my mother, who passed away while I was in Iraq in 2004. I've done the majority of the work myself, with the exception of the paint job and assembling the engine. She is actually painted Imperial Blue Metallic, with a Cyber Gray Metallic "Bumble Bee" Stripe. Jade has completed 2 Hot Rod Power Tour Long Hauls, and she participated in the 2013 HRPT, but we didn't Long Haul. Her last Frame-Off was completed in May of 2010 and within 3 years, we logged 21,000 miles. I have driven her from Alabama to Coco Beach, to Detroit, to Missouri, and up to the corn fields of Iowa.

She is an original small block car, but now sports a 468 cubic inch roller motor. I have also update the drivetrain with a Tremec TKO600 5-Speed, along with a hydraulic clutch set-up from American Powertrain. The rear-end is a 12-Bolt with 4.10:1 gears and an Auburn Posi Unit. She is a factory Deluxe Interior Car with full console and gauges.

She's equipped with Vintage Heating/AC, Dakota Digital VHX Gauges, a full polished Serpentine System from March Performance, Wil-Wood Slotted & Cross Drilled Brakes, Jason Rushforth "Livewire" Rims, Nitto NT05 Tires, Complete Hotchkis Suspension & Quick Steering, and Polished Flowmaster Super 40 3" Exhaust.

Here's a few pictures of Jade...

Again, sorry that it took so long for my first post.

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Hey William, Thank you for the compliments on Jade. The driving experience is priceless!! Everyone always talks about the "perma-grin" from the 5th Gen Camaro.... I can't even put into words the feeling and excitement I get every time Jade and I go for a cruise.

She handles so good with the Hotchkis Suspension, the tires hug the road, and the brakes stop on a dime. You just have to be extra careful with the throttle, or you might find your heart skipping a beat or two.

Hey SIM Curly, that's a good possibility. I lived in Priceville from 2008-2011. The car was painted by a gentleman named Justin Lathom, and he works for Joe Hudson Collision Center in Decatur. I used to go to all of the Cruise-In and Car Shows around the area, but this year I was too busy. So, there's a good chance that you've probably seen Jade.

Welcome to the forums Carl!

That is one absolutely gorgeous '67 Camaro. I especially like your wheel / brake setup, very nice stance.

Hi Carl,

First things first, thank you for your service to our country! Secondly, Jade looks awesome! My first car was a black '67 Camaro and it brings back memories.

Welcome to the forum!
