Like usual, the live shots make it look ten times better.

I'm a little concerned. It is a polite looking two door coupe, but it kind of pales in comparison to the elmira concept coupe (there is a danger of losing shape and a sense of streamlining when you downsize or go with a smaller chassis). I feel that its too wimpy looking even to be called a Cadillac.

The ATS coupe doesn't display a sense of power or sexiness IMO. That said, the 6th gen Camaro will have its work cut out for it when it is built on this chassis. I am hoping for the best.

If you expect an entry level (for the brand) car to look like a concept of a flagship car you are setting yourself up for massive disappointment.

And what, exactly, does the styling of this car have to do with the 6th gen? Yes, they'll be built on the same platform, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. Because these two cars were also built on the Alpha platform:

2012 Code 130R Concept

And the 2014 CTS

They don't share a single major dimension with each other & their proportions are clearly quite different. There isn't really anything that I can see about Alpha that dictates how a car built off of it will look.

I like and it looks great but im not over the moon for it. So it looks so far that a Colorado or Canyon might be in my future once the fiat is paid off unless the 6th gen is a stunner or chevy comes out with a smaller turbo coupe like a brz competitor.

Just remembered that I haven't yet shared my opinion of the car ... just responded to the comments of others.

I like it better than the oddness of the CTS coupe, but I think they should have removed a bit (more?) space between the door & wheel. Maybe its just a pet peeve of mine, but coupes with a ton of fender space there seem a little off. Most often it happens when the coupe shares the same wheelbase as the sedan (I don't remember seeing what GM did with that, one way or the other). Its like that on the CTS coupe, as well as on my Grand Am -both of which have the same wheelbase as the sedans.

Oh, and I don't quite like the new emblem. Looks 'stretched' (probably because it is, relative to the old 'Wreath & Crest'). Its always looked a little squat for a coat-of-arms style crest, but now it looks almost twice as wide as it is tall.

I like it, more than I expected I would.

But that new Cadillac emblem is not good. Didn't like it when they announced the change, and it's not looking good on the automobiles. Hurry, change it back!

Supposedly ATS Sportwagon or Convertible is also under consideration.

I see what you mean, it's really obvious in the first live shot of the ATS coupe in blue. I know Zeta was shorted by 2.5 inches between Commodore and the Camaro. I wonder how the ATS coupe would have looked if it had a 106.8 inch wheelbase (and what that would have meant for the 6th gen ).

EDIT: While I still think the 6th gen Camaro would be better served based off the ATS's wheelbase. I suppose it would work out based off a shortened CTS (i.e. 112" plus or minus a couple of tenths), assuming of course GM can keep a decent amount of weight loss (i.e. 8% or so).
