Anybody seen this

Saw this PaPa Johns commercial today celebrating their 30th anniversary. The Z28 got my attention. Notice the fast delivery.

they've been using it in their commercials for at least a couple of years. it belongs to the guy that owns Papa John's.

I'm not saying they don't suck, but they are the best national chain. Cardboard Hut and Domino's Cardboard don't do close.

But you know how John Schnatter is lying when he says better ingredients are the difference. When they switched to pepsi to get a better deal, even though pepsi tastes like glue made from horses, you know they don't give a crap about quality. That was seriously if for me with chain pizza.

Now for the Atlanta people, Fellini's is awesome. If you go down for F Body Gathering in May, there are six locations I think and it is sooooo good.

Gotta say though......the wheels on the car now (on that TV commercial capture) are ugly. The car looked much better with the drag setup:

It's been my opinion that it is really hard to go back and fit newer styled wheels on classics and it work. In fact not just old cars. When people put brand new wheels on 4th gen Camaros I don't think it always works.

Not like I have some major theory as to why, just that it's really tough to get the right style wheel for the car. And some styles work on some cars and not on others. Take that saw blade looking deal on the C4 Vettes. Really doesn't look that bad on a C4 Vette. I cannot for the life of me imagine it looking good on any other vehicle like an older or newer F body or Vette.

I don't know how national it is, but Papa Gino's up here in the Northeast is by far the best. I tried Papa john's twice when I traveled for work and it is terrible. Almost as bad a Domino's. I would take Pizza Hut any day over Papa John's.

The car is still in all of the print ads for papa John's in the Philippines, and in their website too.

I've never heard of Papa Gino's, but if I see one pop up somewhere or I travel near one I'll give it a try.

Where I live, unfortunately, there isn't even a decent local place. There's one spot by campus and their pizza is so terrible. The outside of the pizza's crust will be burnt while the inside, dough towards the center, will still be raw. It's gross. I quit going there. I guess the students don't know the difference and it's all about location.

So basically I don't get to eat pizza but when I travel.

John Schnatter sold his Camaro to help get Papa John's Pizza started. He was selling pizza out of a bowling alley before that. After he got successful he was searching for his old Camaro so he could buy it back and offered a big reward if anyone would be able to help locate it for him. Someone did find it and John was able to buy it back. He was so happy he gave away a free pizza to anyone who drove to a Papa John's store for a day. I got my '69 out and was able to get a free pizza. Anyone who is that bonkers for his Camaro is OK with me.
