From what I have seen, Camaro's don't take deer hits very well. Glad it was the truck.
I just hope this never happens to me. I ran over one once many years ago that had been previously hit. It was at night and just before I got to it, it lifted its head to look at me and then wham. Car lifted up on two wheels but I never lost control. Next day I had to clean lots of deer parts from under the car. No damage though. It was a Ford Taurus. Lucky.

Not sure who you are talking about, but the daughter's (and my very dear friend's) name is Kim (Kimberlee, actually). It was her father who passed. Surely we are not talking about the same person. ??? PM me if you want more details.

Yeah. I lived in upstate NY until I was 25 but never hit a deer back then - I'm talking 60s + 70s. There just weren't as many around then. Now they are everywhere and have little fear of humans (or cars either, apparently). Especially in the suburbs of populated areas. They are a nuisance and the state needs to extend the hunting season and numbers hunters can harvest.

A few years ago, I came across a couple of guys who were trying to get an injured deer out of the road, off the highway. It was in bad shape, but kept trying to drag itself into the highway, on a four- lane mountain road, on a curve. I stopped, asked the guys if they wanted me to dispatch the deer. They accepted the offer... I can now say I have taken a deer with a .380 Colt with a 2" barrel.

You drive a Dodge, but it was used as a Ram? Does anyone else see the irony there?
