We had a cloudy day here in the Valley and it was a little cool with temps in the high 60's.

Nice! We got up to a balmy 19 today but heading back down into the single digits tonight. There have been multiple house fires, broken pipes & broken down cars with just a few power outages. Schools will be out for one more day due to the intense cold & some of the school buldings having water/heating problems. I was surprised that more clients showed up than expected. I had a few no-shows during mid day but morning & late day ones all showed up. I dressed in layers & was glad. It was cold in my office but the front desk area was hot. I would wander up front periodicly until my hands warmed up then back to my office. It worked out okay. Now I have a few notes to do.

work doing alot of whining as i have not made it in for last 2 days and if roads are not open tomorrow might be 3 days . still snowing and blowing . first time in 40 yrs all roads are closed

So, cold again! Just thought I'd share something we saw this weekend. We were at the Sugar Bowl, but missed this...........Very shocking, in so many ways. I saw lots of banter between fans, but this went to another level. This is raw footage, but there's lots of other versions set to music. There's also another video of the mom prior to the incident dancing and then showing some "hand gestures" to the Oklahoma fans across the aisle. I know that the college students were antagonizing, but come on........that lady is an adult, just wow!

The stupid behavior of some people theses days is just unbelievable.

Another cold morning but it is supposed to warm up some today. I am up early to go to hte dentist before work, just for a cleaning. I get to go back to exercize class today for the first time since hte holidays (hopefully nothing preents that, knock on wood). I suspect it will be rough after not going for a while. I did do some exercising on my own but it is just not the same. I better get myself going. HAGD

Wow lucky you ! I hate snow, but I was hoping for something like you got.
After 35 yrs I really hate my job. I just got another pay cut. $1200 a year for the privilege of driving my company van for work. I can't use it for personal use at all. I would love to be at home for 2 or 3 days.

Not bad here this morning in upstate N.Y. 8 above 23 below wind chill factor. Suppose to receive up to 5 more ft. of snow over the next day or to. But no dings dents or salt on my Camaro. Snug as hell in heated garage.

This is getting old. Temp -10 with a -24 wind chill. Can't complain too much when some of you have it much worse with stronger winds and continuing snow.
One good thing for me is I don't like shopping and some $750 leather jackets have slowly dropped to $99. After taking Mom to her weekly lab, hopefully without a blood transfusion, I'll stop and buy one. Drive careful all.

Yuck y'all, sorry to have your weather continue, we are getting relief for the moment here, still cold, but not as bad.

Blu-J I know how it is to be a caretaker for a sick parent..........you're an angel, hang in there. I pray for caretakers every night.............it's a privilege to do it, but I know it can take a toll on you.

Well the blizzard of 14 is now history. I think I ended up with between 2-3 feet hard to tell with the winds and drifts. Roads were reopened by 6am and the driving bans were cancelled. I went to work the roads were rough with hard packed snow but much better almost down to pavement when I went home. Got into the teens today with a lot less wind so did not feel that bad out relative to yesterday. Schools should be back open tomorrow and life returns to normal.

Good to hear life is returning to normal there. Here too. It was way up to 34 degrees here today. Felt like a heat wave! But folks are still having problems with broken water pipes, broken down cars & fires. We are just not used to those frigid temps around here anymore.

It was a fairly slow day again today. Between folks hafinf problems caused by hte low temps & folks being sick it makes for a high no-show rate. But I got to come home early again. I'm bored!
