The wife has been bugging me for more (4) door car. I joked about getting her a SS. I think I will end up getting her a Caprice. I think I can get her one out the door for 30K. That has a 6.0 liter and should take nicely to the SS or Impala appearance mods.

Really?! What are they starting at (if you happen to have seen a price). I thought it would be about another year or so before most would come off of fleet/law enforcement for sale.

The key is in my "little" dealer. Karl Chevrolet has some 2011 and 2012's.

They're probably Caprices that they held onto for a while so they can sell them as "used" now or something like that.

Just make sure you pick up a 9C3, not a 9C1, unless you want to fabricate your own center console.

And there's always the fun part (and what I plan on doing when I get a Caprice or Impala) - strap a push bar to the front bumper, throw 9C1 wheels on, tint the windows, and wonder why everyone slows down and gets out of your way on the highway.

Right, it already has the floods on it! Wife drives slow, I never thought of that. It would be priceless for about a month. She wants something with some room and no bells and whistles and this is what came to mine. Put some SS wheels on it, or Camaro SS wheels and call it good. Okay maybe a CAI, done. A catch can, oh boy here we go again!!! lol!

Well, I finally got to get in an SS.

All I can say is wow. Literally. Its such a huge improvement over my old GM its unreal. The HUD is awesome and the interior is top freaking notch.

I didnt get to drive it (stupid snow) but just getting in and around one REALLY makes me want it. It truly is a great time to be a sports car fan from GM. Lots and lots of choices.
