The Jag may have had a faster ET, but lost the race, he red lighted.

The 2014 F-Type V8 S weighs about the same as the Vette and stock has 495hp and 460lb.-ft. tq. It also has a ZF transmission that shifts gears in 200 milliseconds. I would expect that to beat a C6 with just a tune and intake. A C7 Z51 would be a much closer race.

Thats pretty sweet, but the C7 Vette runs well into the 11s bone stock as well....so not really shocking me.

True.

Jaguar F-Type

Base
3.0L Supercharged V-6
340 hp/332 lb-ft
8-Speed Auto
3,521 lbs
$69,000

S
3.0L Supercharged V-6
380hp/339 lb-ft
8-Speed Auto
3,558 lbs
$81,000

V8 S
5.0L Supercharged V-8
495hp/460 lb-ft
8-Speed Auto
3,631 lbs
$92,000

The strange thing is with all of the aluminum in the F-Type it's heavier than a C7. Plus for $92k for the V8 S, I would rather have the C7 ZO6 (I'm sure it will be around that price).

But the F-Types are beautiful, and the F-Type Coupe is even more awesome!

I just couldn't resist the coupe - even for a z06 that will kill it. I am shallow.

Of course it's heavier. You missed the best part:

I am 99% sold on the coupe.

If I could afford a $92k car, this Jag would be in my garage. Sadly, I will have to limit myself to cars in the $40's......or I could send the wife back to work.

Your wife gets to stay home?????????????? What do you do for a living? I wanna retire!

But yeah, that Jag is sweet. I'd definately drive one if I had the $. But if I had that kind of $ I could have a C7 too.

I doubt the Z06 is going to be around 90ish prolly more 100ish just what I am thinking. But yes the Ftype coupe is so sexy of a car if I had the money it would be in my garage.
