Are the rods in your bone stock 5.0 the same as the Boss mustang or 03-04 cobra rods that are being discussed? I'm just not seeing how this is relevant.

The broken rod I was referring to was out of a bone stock Boss, the 03-04 Cobra rods are Manleys Chinese forgings.

Chris you MUST be mistaken. Perhaps it had an incorrect sinter alloy... What's the Periodic Tables notation for Sinter Metal? SiMpl?

GM, a l-o-n-g time ago, used Sintered Metallic composites...for BRAKE SHOES! Apparently, in Fords as rods, they now just BREAK...

The only person that is butthurt here is you. Everyday all day right here in this thread you and seven oh joe continuously show that. I see it, your Camaro brethren see it, and so does everyone else. Tell me I'm lying.

GM also uses sintered steel forging in most of their v8 con rods.

...which makes Ford's use of them, what, NO BIGGIE... GM's used them for at least 2 decades on various/sundry vehicles. Glad to see another example of features on the Mustang that drag Ford, kickin' n' screamin', into the 21st Century, along with IRS. Welcome to cell phones and the 'net, too!

Perhaps Ford found a supplier of Super-Special-Sintered Metal. It's still SiMpl on the charts.

As for folks who may need some medicinal assistance, my I suggest MY favorite potion, which remains in my medicine cabinet, unopened...

I believe it's on the Chart as AH...

I always thought he was very well read. I always picture him sitting in his library with a pipe in his mouth banging on the keyboard in frustration from having to deal with all of us inadequate, non intellectual, barely human creatures.
