I-95 HOV-3 Lanes and the Corvette

Does anyone know if there is a waiver for the HOV-3 requirement on I-95 if your car has only two seats and both are filled? Any highway patrol members want to chime in here? I want to drive my C7 up to Wash DC and need to know if I can use the HOV lanes or not.

If your car is a hybrid you can go with 1 person. Is the C7 a hybrid? No, not strictly speaking, but it is a hybrid of sorts. How many 460 HP cars out there get 29 MPG via cylinder deactivation running on 4, direction injection, etc. I once got caught in my Dodge Magnum RT Hemi with cylinder deactivation. I usually car pool and one morning went in by myself, and as a creature of habit, got on the express lanes by mistake. Told the cop it was a hybrid and he told me nice try. Gave me a warning. It probably did not hurt that he likely saw my ICE badge hanging around my neck (law enforcement courtesy).
