Sounds like snow-a-geddon back in Maryland. Lots of people called out. I'll be kinda busy today picking up the slack. Glad I did not get stuck there.

Here is my East Coast Indoor Nationals Car Show photo album;

3 to 6 inches with 30 mph winds and temps in the 20's in the forecast for tonight. There is no way they will close work here for that amount. We need at least 18+ to close businesses around here.

I actually worked on my snow day. I made a batch of fudge, cleaned my room really well & cleaned out my closet. But back to work tomorrow. Nighty night time now.

The forecast was wrong there is over a foot of snow maybe 10 miles south of me but only an inch at my house. That is typical lake effect snow you get a lot of snow if the band sits over your area and nothing outside of it. I am not complaining I hate snow so the less the better.

That's great Zandron. It is a very cold but clear day here today. It is exercize class day again today. Then the rest of the week my time after work will involve getting ready for my Christmas dinner for my sisters & my dad this weekend. My house is just too small to host all the neices, nephews, spouses and my sisters & dad but I wanted to get at least the 4 of us together for the holidays. Last year we all went to a resturant but I was not happy with that and we could not find a day even then to get everyone together. This year my sister picked a day I couldn't even go & my kids were of course not home yet. It will be nice but I am not going to over do it like my mother would have. You can only eat so much food. HAGD all

A friend of mine sent these in an email titled Truths for Mature Humans. Some made me wince, some made me laugh and all made me say, "Yup."

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. There is no way to fold a fitted sheet

6. Learning cursive writing was not really necessary

7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.

14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

15. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

16. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.

17. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!

21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

22. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

23. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

24. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974.
That means it only took 100 years for hockey players to realize that their brain is also important.

Happy Wednesday all!

I think I have seen those before HRS but they are still funny, & mostly true. The last one is the one that makes me LOL though.

Sorry to hear that Rick. May they pass with as little discomfort as is possible.

I had a busy & frustrating day at work. None of my notes got done so guess what I will be doing this evening.

The stones were found during a CT scan for another "condition" these doctors were trying to diagnose, which turned out to be nothing. Now I have to schedule more blood tests and a KUB to verify whether I really have two new stones or the CT scan found something else. Lot's o' fun!

Got to drive around today while it was sunny and 70*. It was beautiful outside!

Hope the dinner is nice. When my mom was alive, her facility had a place we could bring dinner in for the family, a family dining room. There was more room there with all their common space and the other residents loved seeing the little ones..........not sure if your dad's place has that kind of thing!

Linda, loved the "Truths"!

BTW, don't think anyone said "Happy Hump Day"

My luck with the snow is starting to run out. I came out after work today to 4-5" of fresh snow on my truck. Nothing like cleaning snow off the truck in a 20 mph wind when it's 15 degrees out. I hate winter.

Really? Then why do you live in Buffalo???? It is like serious winter central station. LOL Tennessee is bad enough I could not take winters farther north.

I did some prep work for this weekend's dinner tonight but no cooking really. I'll start that tomorrow. I have a bit of a headache. I think from a kid screaming in my office today. It was not really all that bad but it was the pitch that got to me. I also had a kid pee in my office today. Oh the joys of working with preschoolers.

Partly cloudy and 74* here today. Maryland winters were hateful enough for us, so.we moved. No ice and snow here.

Friday is almost here. I need a break.
