True to an extent and I didn't mean that comment in a bad way for the Vette.

With the Mustang though I would agree about the exterior design being more Evolutionary. I believe the revolutionary part is supposed to be what's under it's skin. That's yet to be seen.

Agree. I understood... didn't interpret it out of context. For the C7 it's well known by now that inside and outside is quite revolutionary, which was a little long overdue IMO.

Man, now I can't wait to see the 6th gen camaro. Though I will be keeping my 2014 through college, I'm excited to see what is to come in my future. When I eventually get rid of my 2014, I will probably get another camaro. I don't even like mustangs and I am excited for the 2015. It really is a beautiful car, whether I like the brand or not! It really is coming around on me, but I still like camaros more.

I like it. Especially when you look at the price difference between the Mustang convert and the Camaro ragtop. (And Ford makes a top that works) Gonna have to drive one when they get to the dealers. Curious about the turbo 4. Supposedly has more power and torque than the 6, with much better mpg. Don't know if I would get the 4, but sounds interesting.

I'd probably prefer the turbo 4 over the 6, assuming the turbo lag isn't too horrible. Of course, V8 trumps them all.

Typical oblique corporate-speak: "Base Mustang [no mention of GT] will beat a 12-13 BOSS around a race track". Does he mean a no-option V6 lowest priced Mustang? Will beat a BOSS - which one? Around WHAT track?

I can hear the hand clapping and foot stomping on Ford sites from here, beating the noise from Seattle the other night, over a statement so full of holes.

BTW, expect final hp ratings for the GT 5.0 to about equal the LT1. Count on 450.

The turbo 4 will likely be an instant hit with the tuner crowd. No I'm not saying the new Mustang is rice, but we all know the kind of power you can get with a modern turbo 4 and an aftermarket tune. Guaranteed 350 - 375 or more TQ, and likely 325 - 350 HP.

Suddenly the 4 cylinder becomes a car that will run low 13s easily, and with tires, gears, and a few other simple mods will be a high 12 second car.

If the current V6 Mustang can run high 12s N/A with gears, tires, suspension, bolt ons, and tune (yes, one or two have)....this new lighter 3,400ish lb. turbo 4 will get there even easier.

I suspect eventually one of those "Beat a Camaro SS at the track with my 4 cylinder" threads will pop up.

So I can definitely respect the turbo 4. Would I want one? Right now I don't think I would.

Still think this car is uninspiring.

The "throwback" mustang was the best imo. I don't hate this car at all, but it looks more oft euro than it does American power. If you didn't know better you might think it's an Audi or something. I agree it's a little uninspiring. You can certainly go wild european-inspired redo but it only works if you nail it (i.e. new Vette).

I think the new Mustang looks good. I do think they could have done a better job on the front end, but overall I do like it.

I also do agree that it is not much of a change from the last Mustang. It almost looks like instead of redesigning a new car they just did a little style update like they did on the 2014 Camaro. I do think if you took the new Mustang and put it on one end of a parking lot. Then took last years Mustang and put it on the other end of the parking lot, I would bet that my wife would think they are the exact same car. I am in no way saying my wife is a car idiot because she easily knows the diff between a Camaro, Mustang and Challenger. Meaning she would never say to a Mustang owner, I like your Challenger.

Like I said, I think the new Mustang looks nice and it is going to be one nice car. Just think how fantastic the next Camaro is going to be, because we know Chevy will beat it.

It's not a bad looking car but the 'muscle car' identity is less evident. The side profile reminds me of a Honda Accord Coupe (and maybe some Hyundai Genesis Coupe). The front is just a more aggressive Ford Fusion.
I need to see the car in person to get a real opinion but I'm honestly not really impressed with the looks of the car. I'm interested in seeing what the performance specs will be.
