Too much front and rear overhang make it look less sophisticated as well. Notice the Accord is better proportioned. Not as impressed as I was earlier. I see a lot going to rental car fleets. GM will have fun knocking the Mustang out with the Gen6, at least on the styling front. The Gen5 will probably hold its own as well.

Actually a power drop for the V6 should be as simple as a change in the air intake, because of a reduction in size maybe the intake is more restrictive and easily remedied by a CAI....

Different time, and WAY crappier engine compared to these. The new turbo 4s would have blown the doors off the V8s of that time period.

Here they get a similar power train in a much sportier package. Tuners will have a ball with the turbo4's.

Exactly.

Thats also true, or maybe there is more restriction in the exhaust since it is routed differently or whatever. But again I read these were projections, and its hard for me to imagine Ford letting the power figure decrease, but then again that could certainly happen.

I've had plenty of Mustangs and Camaro's in the past. I kinda like the new Mustang. When i bought my 12' Camaro SS i was either going to get a Mustang or Camaro. I'm glad i got the Camaro because it looks much better than the Mustang. Now if Chevy screws up the 6th gen. Camaro and i'm on the lookout for my next car it could very well be the new Mustang.

THIS
it looks more like the current mustang than the 2010 looked like the 2009
or the 1999 looked like the 1998.
I guess they didn't want to stray too far, and it's not a bad looking car...
except for that rear end.

The rear isn't bad, I kinda like it. The front is ehhh ok but the side profile is awful!! Looks like it has a huge overbite and a squished bumper, its weird looking and it sits higher in the front then back. Not unique at all. I love the 2013 Mustangs. I think they look badass but this looks like a 2 door Fusion.

Longer - Wider - Lower Stuck in the '60s?

Ford must have thought that Gen-5 Camaro had it right, after all! Smaller windows, the thing Ford fanboyz complained about in the Camaro, are now included in the Mustang, exacerbated by a lower seating position and less helmet room.

Now they'll find out that a wider-lower car, especially equipped with IRS, actually handles better with a lower center of gravity.

Welcome to the 21st Century, Ford!

As to the absence of DI in the Base GT, there have to be some elements left for their up-priced $pecial Edition$.

The more I see it, the more I like it. I'd never buy one though. Well GM, I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for the 6th Gen. Camaro!
