I know there are a lot of biased haters out there, but after seeing these new pics today I think this car is going to be a home run for Ford.

It seems to have some strange proportions but from some angles they work better than others. In person it will probably be a lot better. I just can't get past the rear of the car though.

Don't get me wrong - Al is one of my inspirations for my career at General Motors and I have nothing but respect for him. But I question whether or not he'll be overruled and we'll see a 4 banger.

I will tell you that I had an ATS 2.0L Turbo AWD a couple of weeks ago. Everyone who drove it swore up and down it was "at least" the LFX engine because it took off like a rocket and was VERY peppy.

I don't see having a 2.0L Turbo option as a bad thing - especially making the assumption that the Camaro will hopefully be a few pounds lighter than the ATS because it won't have as much "plush-ness" to it. As long as it's just one of many engine options which include v6s and v8s, it won't hurt - and GM definitely isn't taking the v8 option away from the Camaro.

Agreed. While it was nice to drive an ATS which had heated seats, heated steering wheel, HUD, reverse camera, lane-change sensors (which I immediately turned off because it was making my ass vibrate the whole way home... apparently I ride the left shoulder's yellow line too much), etc etc -- it's definitely not what I would want on my Camaro. As it is that's why I like driving my 1994 Camaro more than my 2012 Camaro -- the 1994 Camaro is a more pure-grit driving experience whereas the 2012 Camaro I could be driving any other manual car and feel the same.

Bingo. All that adding a turbo 4 into the line-up does is expand the Camaro's appeal to more people who can be converted into die-hard Camaro enthusiasts.

My Camaro passion started with my 1994 3.4L v6. 3 years into owning it I was starting Michigan's only all-FBody website, hosting FBody car shows, buying every Camaro and Firebird diecast I could afford, met and later married a gorgeous Italian who has a 2002 Firebird herself, etc. Now my 1994 Camaro is a cammed and stalled 357ci LT1, I bought a 2012 Camaro to add to the staple, my wife still has her 2002 Firebird, and my enthusiasm for FBodies was so infectious that my mother-in-law bought a 2000 Trans Am, my mom bought a 2012 Camaro 2LS, and my dad bought a 1995 Firebird Formula and later sold it to buy a 1998 Trans Am convertible. My Michigan FBody site has 2300 members and our yearly show has well over 200 participants. All that from a 1994 v6 Camaro that - at the time - was "just a sporty looking car to drive."

Some people say the Camaro should only be offered in a v8 option - well, if it was then I probably wouldn't be one of the most passionate Camaro enthusiasts around because my parents wouldn't have agreed to let me buy a Z28 or an SS for my first car... they only wanted to see me get the v6. (Although - I'm seeing that parents now adays have no control over their kids and are buying them 45k Camaros for their first car )

I think it looks good end to end... I'm glad American automakers can break out of the mold, think outside the box, and produce world class cars (new C7, new CTS, new Mustang, etc.)

The lack of a proper British Racing Green on the Mustang is disturbing. Hell just steal the green from the F150 line! At least GM has Limerock Green..

I sometimes wonder a lot of peoples tastes. A lot of people on this forum slap random pieces on their that either doesn't flow or just plain ugly in most peoples eyes but most people just say "to each their own", which means "its ugly, try again". Mustang looks a lot better than a lot of members rides. No offense but it looks better than yours and it looks better than the '14 Camaro other than a 1LE. People tend to be timid on criticism, negative or positive. I'm not even a Mustang fan and will probably never be an owner but give respect where its due.

It did, it lost 200lbs. Or do you mean an additional 200lbs on top of the 200 it already lost? Be realistic.

So official weight figures? 200 lbs less than current model? How does that compare to the ATS platform?

You're comparing the next gen mustang to the current gen Camaro? Of course it's going to look worse by comparison. Comparing current gen mustang to current gen Camaro is fair.

When the gen6 is unveiled then compare it to this new mustang.

I don't like the Mustang Convertible in that picture and to me it looks terrible and a lot worse than mine. It's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

It's funny because when I said I liked part if the car in one picture I got slammed for it now I say it looks terrible not only do I get slammed so does my car. And he thinks it's ok cause he says " no offense"
