Well now the crying is almost over,although he has not come to pick up my ZL1 yet,I started looking at trucks to replace it,so i can have a lift to pick up my wheelchair into the bed..
Anyway i thought about a 4x4 ,and so the raptor came to mind,and i could not believe how much ford wants for them,lol,and even used they hold their price,or the people selling them are just plain nuts...they want 60-70 grand new and even as high as 55k for a used 12 ,wtfreak ? i found a couple with almost 100k on the dial and they still wanted 35k for them,am I wrong in thinking that everyone is over pricing them,and doesn't understand the true value of a used truck..I looked at a couple viper trucks and they seem to of really drop,but then again those with low miles under 10k are being priced at 35k-38k,which still seems high as back in 05 i purchased a used one with 3k on the dial for 40k out the door from the dealer,so i just dont even understand..or maybe its just me being cheap ,lol
I thought about a ctsv wagon,but i dont think i will be able to get in and out of it...the worlds first T-Top cts-v wagon,lol

Ive seen gm trucks that take the wheelchair directly and replaces the drivers seat, door pulls out and its a ramp itself

This is what your taking about the whole side of the red truck comes out,the reason i dont like that is that its a 25-30k conversion and the truck is never able to be resold as anything else.Plus i have to sit in my wheelchair,which sucks,the whole point of driving is to be free and out of my wheelchair whenever i can.
The second and third picture,is only about 10k to have installed ,and the trucks can be put back to stock. The parts can be transferred to the next vehicle i drive, if i wreck,or get bored with it later down the road. I also do not have to sit in my wheelchair,and if i am unable to drive,someone else can on a long trip...

I think your talking about the ZR2 but its still a concept and know one knows for sure if its going to be released,and its not going to beat the raptor from what i read,as the raptor is built from the ground up as a high speed runner where as the ZR2 is just a 4x4 truck with some add on's....
The only thing that is able to really beat the raptor from what i have seen is the ram runner

2012 ram runner,but i am not sure if it can be purchased as a whole truck,the other option is that GM is talking a installing a LSA in the ZR2,but still no one knows for sure..the ram is a kit,but the only upside is that it can be installed on a used truck instead of forking over 70k for a new one..

there are raptors on ebay for 37-45k with ~30k miles. find one with a yeilded fram from being jumped they are way less ha ha.

I think diesel is the way to go based on resale though. Considering I paid 48k for a loaded megacab a couple months ago brand new and people are asking that for used raptors.

I just sold my 04.5 ram for 25k if it had been a gasser I would have got way less than that. I am not sure a 9-10 year raptor will fetch that. be interenting to see how they fair.

My brother researched vehicles to get our dad to and from the doctors....(with assistance dad could get from the wheel-chair into the passenger seat)....believe it or not he ended up getting a Scion wagon thing....Most headroom (him and dad were well over six feet and 250 lbs) and low to the ground for easier in and out, and cheap...wheelchair went in through the sliding door...

....Dunno if that helps...just a thought...good luck...

makes sense, Nothing like getting away from what you are in all day.

thanks,the deal fell through on my ZL1,I think i am going to let my daughter learn to drive in it for a while,just in parking lots where its safe...I am not a parent that thinks its alright to set your kid loose unsupervised with a 750 hp car,like some do,and end up with out kids,and a car !!!
