remember my first and only ticket ... I was at 85 in an empty high way and a cop just cacht me, he was hidden in a tree... but it was a nice cop I told him I just wanted to floor it for a few seconds, and he told me that I should be more careful.. and the gave me a ticket for speeding under 14 miles over the limit... after that I never pass 75...

I don't have the patience to read all of it.
Don't speed like that.

Hire an attorney, could be cheaper than just paying the ticket and so forth and it going on your insurance. I don't speed. Learned my lessons. But should I end up with a ticket again, I'll hire an attorney for sure.

Be safe in the future, we want to hear more of your posts.

I was doing 72 in a 55 Sunday (on cruise). Saw a GA Trooper car crest the hill ahead of me and immediately kicked the brake. His lights came on and he turned around after I went by him - I just pulled over and waited for him. Asked how I was doing and I told him "pretty good, but I'm running late for choir practice" (which I was). He said I was doing 68 but he would just give me a warning so I wouldn't be too late. Took my license, spent a couple minutes in his car, gave my license back and said "drive safe for me, Mr. Palmer". Nice guy.

I'm going to take my ticket to the ticket clinic because its too excessive to get dropped but I want to see if I can at least get it reduced

89 in a 45 though.. that's a little much. Get a lawyer, he will take care of it from there and it will just cost you some extra $$$.

GET A LAWYER

The 10 years that I was in LE, I would impound someones vehicle for doing 40mph over the limit, along with a reckless driving ticket. Be lucky that you got to drive away, 44mph over the posted limit is unacceptable

Sorry OP..... I like to show "Camaro Love" if I stop someone in a Camaro, but at that speed....you or someone in your vehicle better be bleeding out and near death to avoid a "full ride" ticket on that one. See what options they offer for first offenders and get some local legal help......Good luck

I mean I drive about 7 over and that is pushing it, but at least you have time to slow down to like 5 over which they don't mind. You have no chance at double the speed limit.

Better get your flame suit on lol.
^^^This^^^ with occasional bursts of fun never got in trouble.

They are looking for people driving in the 80 mph range.

It's mandatory court appearance for x amount over the speed limit...I'm pretty sure you x'ed that amount....fla. legislature mandated a $250.00 court cost besides the fine amount, thus why the officer told you approx. $500....there is what's called deferred prosecution..go see the the prosecutor and pay the fine..you can avoid standing in front of the judge....they have it figured out pretty well....time,money and attorney would probably cost you more ....good luck...Merry Christmas

Same thing happened to me the other week leaving work. I was merging onto the road and I saw him sitting n the median. I was doing 80mph in what I thought was a 65mph road. Turns out it was a 55mph road (no signs in the area after the merge stating that and the road itself is 65mph in certain areas) Either way I plead not guilty and waiting to hear back on a court date. Just sucks because it's not the fact you're speeding anymore because cops do it all the time not going to an emergency but the fact that the town/state needs money and this is a quick and easy way to get it while screwing with your insurance.
