Mouse Popup
Dose anyone know how to get ride of the text box that pops ups beside your curser when you point at a thread?
Annoying. ![]() I notice if you hold F9, it goes away. I would like to find a way to permanently disable it.

Never experienced this. Did you look at your settings under Edit Options in your User CP? Maybe there's something there.

On a wide monitor, no problem. On a standard one the popup tends to block other things from view

I happen to like it. I can tell what a thread is about and decide if I want to open it and read it or not. Besides, it only shows for 4 seconds and then goes away. I have more important things to think about than a pop up.

If you are using Firefox you could try this. Type about:config in the address bar. Click I'll be carefull. Now scoll down until you find browser. chrome.tool tips. If it reading true you will need to change it to false.
To change it right click browser chrome tool tips. A popup should come with different options. Click toggle and it should change it to false. This should solve the problem.

What you are seeing isn't considered a pop up, but rather a mouse over. It is deeply embedded into the OS. If you notice it is use under most all Windows apps for various reasons.
