yea im starting to see a lot of sports cars used. we have tahoes, chargers, ive been pulled over by a 00 z28, ive been pulled over my bikes as well.

*** i know tahoe is not a sports car just something other than a normal patrol car.

Without reading the article yet, I have one thing to say...

THEY BETTER HAVE REPOED THAT IN A DRUG RAID OR SOMETHING. If there is any police department out there dropping 70 grand on a cruiser they need to be brought up on charges. No department needs a Z06 to chase speeders, hell they aren't technically supposed to give chase unless its a murder suspect or something!

Yes, I saw that. I posted then read, then edited!

I say more power to any department also IF and only IF they are repos. I have actually seen Lamborghini deputy cars, also repos from drug raids. Mostly used for Dare and what not.

Florida highway patrol bought several dozens of 2002 Camaros as their chase vehicles.
So did numerous law enforcement agencies around the country for a while it seamed that that's the only thing high way patrol agencies where buying. The secret service also used 4rth gens in their driver training. One of the coolest articles I ever read was the air force used to use camaros on the runway along with U2 spy planes while they were still used up to recently. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ser/index.html

I saw it last week on 540hwy x 64hwy in Knightdale (out side Raleigh) he had someone pulled over .
Black with dark tinted windows and bluelights in the front window .
It was Bada$s !
