Haha yea went all out this season, so you're saying that the HDMI I have on my ps3 and fios receiver are fine as well as the HDMI that comes with the system?

I remember someone saying something similar about this when HDMI first came out that price didn't matter as long as it had gold tips it was good so I'm guessing this is something similar?

Correct. As long as it has gold tips they are all the same. Best place to order cables and such is monoprice.com I still can't believe stores get people to pay $80 for HDMI cables.

I have not a clue what I have I've had these cables for a while now, so I'm guessing those I already have are "older"

Ya the markup on cables is insane. I had a buddy come home with a $100 HDMI when he bought a new TV. Talk about a good salesman. When shopping for an HDMI cable I look at these things:
-Is it the newest version? (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4)
-Is it gold plated? (for speed)
-Is it highly rated on amazon?

Here is what I would buy if anyone wants one.
http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-H...words=hdmi+1.4

I don't know what version of HDMI your ps3 and fios is using but if your getting max resolution (1080i if they can do that) there is nothing to be had by upgrading.

I hope this answered your question.

I also recommend monoprice.

Thank you, so if I read that description right all I have to do is get an Ethernet cable to my tv then the HDMI to my ps4 and I'll have an internet connection?

Also it only said to 1080p will I be able to get to 2160 when I download a movie on the psn?

The ethernet cable will go to your PS4...

Supposedly the PS4 supports (or will support) 4K movies.

I don't know anything about the ethernet cable. If I were you I would just buy a $15 ethernet switch and plug an ethernet into both but that might be the nerd in me.

getting 2k (2160) is going to depend on a lot of factors, mostly on the playstation side. I doubt that movies on the psn are in 2k. Mostly because that is a much bigger file size you have to download. If you can get 2k on the psn, it will work with your TV no problem. At the moment your TV is ahead of it's time. There isn't a whole lot of 2k/4k stuff on the market. You will be golden in a year or so when the technology catches up. If I were you I would stick with blurays from redbox. You should see a noticeable difference on your new TV, especially up close.

I only think they would put out the 4k movies for download cause they already have on that media player they tried so hard to sell me and it's all digital content for now

But like you said a year and it'll all catch up, so I'll just have to wait and see what it's like at launch and take it from there thanks again

No prob man, I really do hope they put 4k up on the psn. That would help push the envelope. I also hope you have a fast internet connection, those files are not small.

Well my E-Bay saga took another turn today...

I had submitted a second chance offer to a guy in Texas and he took it this morning. So I'm only making a little over 100 on the deal instead of 200.

But I did order Madden, Need for Speed and Knack (due to co-op play). Now I'll need another controller and a PS4 in a couple weeks.
