Finally

Hello from sunny California.

I finally bought a grey 2013 LT1 w/ RS Camaro. My dream car that I had been lusting after for years. 4 days later a Hyndai hit me at a stoplight.

Freaking Nightmare! I was really sad. I have the car back now. I love this car. It's awesome.

Here is a picture of the damage which doesn't look like much but it was over 5000 dollars...

Welcome to Camaro5! Sorry about your accident. I had one myself a few weeks after I had my first Camaro. Love the color btw!

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Awesome totally awesome. Really indescribable. Well it was night when I got the car so the best drive was the next day.

I had to go to Santa Monica from Ventura county. My gps forced me down Las Virgenes Canyon road to skirt around the mess of traffic in central LA. Las Virgines takes you through a steep canyon road that ends in Malibu. Then it's down Highway 1 "PCH" to Santa Monica. Really a excellent drive for a Camaro.

Afterwards, on the way home I started back up the coast but my wife wanted me to meet her for lunch in the south west San Fernando Valley so I had to take Topanga Canyon to get to the Valley...that's when it happened, right there on Topanga Canyon road, listening to the radio, feeling the sun on my face, feeling the acceleration, I fell in love with this car!

I knew I wanted this car years ago but I like it even more than I thought I would. To me it's just beautiful.

Bare in mind for the last 6 years drove a Toyota Camry, over 220,000 miles. So a Camaro is just the polar opposite right?

I've never owned a Camry, but I'm sure it's the total opposite . Glad to hear how well you're enjoying your Camaro. May the happiness continue...

Ok so I had the accident right away, today, on a road that I have gone faster maybe 1000 times, in a CAMRY!, I got a speeding ticket from a CHP motorcycle cop who had to be at least 1000 yards in front of me. Many cars passing the opposite direction much faster than me and the cop is on the other side of the road but he goes out of his way to give me a ticket.
plus I have a radar laser detector and it never went off so must be LIDAR!!!

WTH!

Sucks

And I passed 1500 miles today and the car seems way faster...
