LOL - Scott Setlemire just threatened to send the Black Suburbans after me for getting a Nissan (on facebook). I told him to build me a Chevy mid size with only 2 doors.

Those cars ride and feel 100x more sporty than you would expect. Can't believe they are getting discontinued! I guess the G coupes and Zs are really what they want to be mainly selling.

I'm all for building midsize FWD coupes...if there was a market for it.

There's a reason Accord Coupe is the only one left.

And before anyone jumps down my throat, if I had it my way there would be a Malibu coupe. It wouldn't sell, but there would be one.

4 doors just mess up the look of the car. All us baby boomers with no kids in the nest anymore don't need them & would rather have a car that looks good. If they figure out to make a 4 door look more sexy/sporty and not like just another cookie cutter car, that might be different.

What kind of mileage are you seeing?
Right now while my Camaro is in the shop getting a new top we have a loaner 2013 Equinox with the 2.4DI engine and six speed. It's also AWD. I checked the mileage today and I am getting 24mpg here in town. I am impressed with that, my Saturn Vue doesn't get that on the highway.

I agree. Once the mechanical starts acting up it's best to do away with them. My 2004 Dodge Ram has only 71k miles and still runs like brand new after over 9 years.

My Camaro has 5,292 miles and is definitely still like brand new after almost 4 years.

Congrats Jan. My wife has 127k miles on her 2010 Maxima with the CVT. We haven't had any issues with it.

Too early to tell but it should be good. It was only driven 35ish miles home & today another 75ish miles. It only had 20 mi on the odometer when I bought it. I'll check it after I drive it to work a couple of times. I can tell you that on the trip today the gas indicator did not move a bit.

Nice, did you happen to drive a Nissan Leaf? My wife and I picked up one of those. Have had it almost 2 months. Our electric bill has only gone up 20 bucks. Performance is quite impressive for an electric car.

Congrats have driven a few different Nissans and while they are great cars I personally just never can get used to the feel of the CVT transmission.

It at least has more get up & go than the Cruze. I am not at all confident in the Cruze when I need to pass and it is a royal pain in the butt in traffic surging in & out of gears at will making it difficult to control in bumper-to-bumper stop & go traffic. I was afraid the bigger & heavier Malibu would just be worse. And I wanted a Coupe.

No, I did not drive the Leaf or the Volt. I did not want anything that small & just cannot get into the electric thing. I want some car between me & the next idiot on the road especially the 18 wheeled ones. And need to be confident in long distance travel & with all sorts of driving conditions. The Altima was more suited to my needs & desires.

Yep, it was time to do some trading. I am pretty choosy about my cars so I had a hard time finding something I was happy with. I realy wanted to go with a chevy but I wanted a mid size coupe so???????????? no real Chevy options. I thought about a Malibu but I just did not want a 4 door & the Malibu seems a but under powered to me with it's size compared to it's 4 cylinder engine. If there had been a V6 option, I might have gone that way.

Now we have a lower monthly payment than we had on the Crossfire and a MUCH better interest rate, don't have to deal with repairs & tires. The Cruze we leased for our son before he left for the army goes back in a couple of weeks and our insurance should be significantly less.
RubyCamaro,

Sad to hear the Yukon had to go but we understand the decision that had to be made in your best interest. If the Nissan starts to act up, let us know so we can help get you in another GM vehicle .

We have an 07 Max with 95,000k and the only issue so far is a bad oil pan and oil cooler gasket. Nissan makes really nice and reliable cars imo
