But I don't see the point of them not letting you play with your friends in missions or races because they are bad sports. I get I shouldn't go to the same lobby/session but if I invite them to race with me I should be allowed to do that. and plus half the time when you do missions and go back to a session I am hardly ever in the same one as most of the people I played the mission with.

played GTA online for the first time last night. it was ok. Still have no idea what i'm doing. lol I think I need to level up my guy, because i'm playing with people that have bullet proof vests and machine guns, that I can't buy yet, and I get my ass killed all the time. So as of right now, I like the story mode better.

I wouldn't mind doing a private game with just friends, and work on getting money and experience/gear

for example of my noobness, I was told to steal a car and take it to the customs shop, so I just grabbed the first car I was closest to. It looks like a hybrid of some sort. So I take that, not knowing it would become my official ride. lmao fml.

so how do I go about changing my car? Do I just need to find a better car and put a tracker on it?

I was told to race a car, so I selected out of a group of compacts what I thought was a cobalt.....Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm driving an electric car.. Now it's my official ride I think...

I just looked at my wife and said, "me of all people...An electric car"....

it's probably best that I beat story mode, or at least most of it, before playing online. might help a little. I'm only at 11 or 12%

if you are talking about the very first race, that won't be your car. not until you take your first car to the customs shop, and put a tracker on it, will it be your car.

That...Is great news! I think I'm going to do the same. I'm at 55% story mode, and I think beating it first will help.

Yeah, because I did a parachute mission online, and had no idea how to steer. lol I crashed into a telephone pole. it was quite hilarious.

LOL. just grab another ride that isn't claimed already and put a tracker in it. That'll get you into a better ride.

About your earlier weapon comment...in matches, sometimes weapon pickups are scattered around along with armor, etc. You can grab these things in-game and use them for the duration of the match.

yeah, I noticed those floating things. I just need to learn how to switch weapons, and put on vests. I think the X button the xbox switches weapons, but not sure if you run into a bulletproof vest, if you automatically put it on, or if you have to put it on. I didn't notice a vest on my character, like I saw with other people I was shooting at. hat to shoot people 10 times before they died. lol I died after 3 or 4 shots.
