Need Police Advice...

Question for the police officers here...and a warning for all members...

Tonight I went to a little get-together for my friend who's leaving in a few weeks to go to school in Germany. A friend and I left her place around 12:00 midnight, and as we're waiting to pull out of her subdivision, a blue Corvette C6 goes past.

"Hey sweet, a Corvette," I say, as we pull out behind it.

We're following this Corvette into downtown Springboro (where the road becomes a little narrow and the speed limit hits 25 MPH) when the Corvette slams on its brakes in front of us. At first I assumed he was telling my friend to back off as he had been following a little close. So we back off a bit, but the Corvette suddenly slams on its brakes again. He proceeds to just sit there, and when my friend tries to pass him, he guns the LS3 and forces him back behind. We reach a stoplight (which is still green), and the guy slams on his brakes again and once again, sits there.

By now, I'm assuming the guy wants to race, but A) Both my friend and I were honor students in high school and both know that street racing is illegal and B) a C6 versus a civic? C'mon.

So we're stuck behind this ***hole. A GMC Safari comes up behind us, and seeing the still green light, blows his horn. My friend blows his horn, and the Safari proceeds to go around both the Corvette and us. We follow suit, and the Corvette makes a left and drives off.

My question to the police officers here is am I allowed to call 911 if something like this happens? Unfortunately, we didn't manage to get his plate number as we were both trying to figure out what we should do and debating if calling 911 was the correct course of action.

And to the members here, NEVER, NEVER try to pull bullshit like this, EVER. Today, the reputation of Corvette owners everywhere is tainted by this one stupid dip**** who needed an ego boost by trying to race a car he knew he could beat. Not only do you give Corvette owners a bad name, but you give Chevy owners a bad name, GM owners a bad name, and ultimately all performance car owners a bad name. If this ***hole was trying to show off his Corvette, trust me, I've been to a ton of car shows and have seen hundreds, if not thousands, of Corvettes, many of which were way nicer than this one. Not only that, but my friend will never look at Corvette owners the same way ever again, because every Corvette he sees will bring up memories of what happened tonight. Don't be stupid, don't try to street race, just drive the car legally and take it to a track if you want to race, where the only person you're putting in harm's way is yourself.

Fen, He could have been toying with you. You did the right thing. Even if PD would have been there, other than reckless driving and endangerment(a stretch) it would be nothing more than a ticket. YOU were obviously smarter than that. Way to not get pulled in by this guys Sh1t!

Unless you're with em on the highway and they're drunk or something, you're not going to get very far. By the time they could get a cop out to you the vette would likely be gone and even if not the cop would have to see him doing something wrong. But of course you can call 911 if you feel the need. That's what it's there for! I don't know if they have something like this htere but here in FL there's *FHP you can dial that is made for these sorts of situations.

It wasn't very close at all, maybe a little less than a car length. And at 20 MPH.
