an extra team in each conference making the playoffs. the nfl is so competitive, that it only makes sense.

yup. and they are trying to figure out if they will do 3 games on Saturday and sunday, 2 games on Friday, 2 on Saturday, 2 on sunday, or try to even get Monday night football during the playoffs, which would be even more money.
