Processing Option???
What is a "Processing Option", and why does it cost $12,960?

Hey C7,
I clicked on the link but nothing comes up, I think it's not something others can see just from the link. It might be better if you can paste the screen shot of what you see. |

I did a search with your zip and the VIN and i can see it now. I saw the same thing a few days ago on a different car. Here's what I see:
Vehicle Details
Maybe someone with more knowledge can comment on this. |

^^^ That's it.
I'm guessing dealer mark-up. |

The $75,760 MSRP is correct. The Z51 for $8005 includes the 3LT package and MRC. And the Processing Option for $12,960 represents the limited Premiere Edition package and of course the exclusivity/rarity. All the PE's have these two line items in their window sticker... I saw one today at a local dealer, unfortunately the stealership tacked on an ADM of 10K on top of this!

As far as I know the 3LT option does not include MRC for the Z51 coupe. For the processing option if you add up MRC, Dual roof, Auto, NPP, FAY, Suede inserts, Calipers and upper trim you get very close to $13k.

But specifically for rhe Premier Edition it does.... Z51 w/ MRC. Single case exception here.

Premiere Edition and likely there is no dealer markup added; the options are a clue but the VIN (1G1YL2D75E5300097) gives it away. Regular production VINs end 1XXXXX and Premiere Edition VINs end 3XXXXX.

Except from what I saw earlier today, the dealer padded 10K on top of the msrp of 75k... which brings the total to 85k to get buying privy on the Premiere Edition they had in stock. UGH. Then again someone with beacoup bucks will easily swing for it especially in Miami where those with tons of money to burn rules... Example of said Premiere Edition unit's MSRP attached... note- this is VIN ending it 300033. Last edited by Stingray; 10-04-2013 at 10:35 PM. Reason: added pics |

3 weeks later... I went by that dealership, and it's still there. So I grabbed a pic of this $12,960 option.

There is one in San Diego. 7500 dollar mark up though.
