Take out one or two of them... and maintain control of the weapon... the others would fall in line. Once they know that you are serious, they will make the decision that it is not worth their life.

All it takes is for one well place punch to land and it could mean death. The driver was met with deadly force and would have been justified in using deadly force to protect himself and his family.

Not sure what took place before the video. The biker that got rear ended already seemed agitated. Plus from what I can tell was not stopped or really braking that hard when the suv hit him.

If I was driving the suv prior to rear ending the bike I think I would had been going slow enough to force the bikers to go on and in the process took an exit. Seem like a large group out cruising and and most likely they would had went on their way. Once the hit and run took place the suv was in a bad situation.

I just think from what I saw in the video that the suv could had prevented the worst of the situation. He probably had his head in his as$hole in the first place.

In that scenario people would have died. Everyone walked away from this one with nothing more than injuries that will heal. No weapon needed.

Far too many bike owners give far too many other bike owners a crappy name. This is case and point. Unfortunately, at least once a day I see some a$$hat driving a bike in a manner that should earn them a Darwin award. Lanesplitting at 90+mph, cutting drivers off, tailgating other drivers, squeezing into spots while "passing" that makes drivers hit their brakes in fear of hitting the cyclist... I always look for them, but I stopped accomidating them when they drive like jerkoffs. I own a bike. Driving like that is stupid.

Your scenario assumes a mob disciplined enough not to kill you during your beating. I'd rather not leave my fate up to a mob like that without a fight.

There was no assumption. It happened.

I can not tell you how many Camaro owners I see doing this same type thing.

In hindsight yes, but at the moment you don't know what will happen. They could have had all intent and purposes to kill him, his wife and child. You stand there and let me beat you for 5-10 minutes and tell me before hand that you know 100% without a doubt that I won't accidentally kill you or cause major brain damage before I stop.

The video does not show all of what happened before hand. There was a confrontation before this where they had ganged up on the SUV and the SUV ran. This biker tried to stop the SUV so they could gang up on him again and the guy hit the biker in fear of his and his family's life. Also this is a annual biker event that has had numerous confrontation such as this happened before through out the years. At the latest report, the city has now banned any and all future events from taking place and arrest any bikers that try and form one.

While yes it could happen, if a biker did so he will be charged with Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possibly Murder 1. The SUV driver is in fear for his life and the life of his loved ones and use deadly force is legally justified especially since they have already tried attacking him once before. If a biker also pulled a weapon, the biker does not have this justification and will be spending a long time in prison.

This is false. Only the driver of the SUV was injured.

Wrong. One gun shot is all it would have taken to stop them.

In latest news;

One biker who was struck by the SUV, 28-year-old Christopher Cruz, was arrested and faces several charges, including reckless endangerment, reckless driving and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police also arrested 15 bikers in total Sunday, seized 55 bikes and wrote 68 summons for various violations. Further charges are pending.

The driver of the SUV will not be facing charges.

Good result. These asshats give sport bike riders (like me) a bad name.
