That's how all modern performance V8's ought to sound.

It also sounds a bit loud to pass the current noise laws in America but who knows if that is really a Svt or whichever mustang model it is.

I'm really gonna miss the sweet sound of the 5.4/5.8L modular motor, even with stock exhaust. :(

I think the wheels are what gave it away. Those the same ones that were seen on what people think is the new hi-po model.

Sounds like a smoother firing order, rumors about flat-plane seem to be accurate. Also, does it look extremely low and wide to anyone else? If I didn't know that was a Mustang I would think it was a new sports car, not a pony car.

Exhaust sound is one area that Ford kicks GMs ass in my opinion. Stock 5.0s sound awesome. The NPP comes close but that's about it.

I guess what I'm asking is that I didn't know that Ford formally named any model of the new mustang let alone the top model. Did I miss something?

It's mostly conjecture. Ford relicensed the GT350 name plate and SA has stated that after the '14 model year, they would cease production on their GT350 package. Rumor, as it is, will gave 350 launch with the new platform and 500 would come in a couple model years thereafter.

The Mach 1 nameplate is coming back as the Boss 302 of this generation, so there's a chance that a Mach 1 is what we're seeing here.
