I have over 10K on my car. First oil change was when the DIC said to change it! (That's what oil filters are for, never seen metal shavings in any of my cars) I check it often and have not consumed any excess oil. I had more oil consumption with my 2006 CTS-V. That one was usually 1/2 qt down between changes.

Mine used 1 qt per 2000. Fairly easy break in, first oil change was 1300, at 3300 I needed to add 1 qt. Not too much in the chatch can, maybe 2 oz. The supercharger is clean after installing the catch can. No oil in the intake track any more. For break in I ran it up and down the rpm under good load, but didn't go over 4000 for a while.
