Pacino or De Niro - Page 2

I think De Niro edges forward just a little. I like Al Pacino a whole lot, but sometimes he feels like all he's doing is reusing that one character that just kind of monotone yells at everything. Let me say this, I'm not comparing Pacino to just any actor. Take two actors who have mastered their craft and find that one is 99.98% master and one is 99.99% master, and I say that the mild difference is that Pacino could use a little more depth.

Because Robert De Niro did in the movie Stardust.

But seriously, Pacino always plays the same basic archetype. I think De Niro does play a lot of roles in the same archetype, but he has branched out into a bigger variety of roles than Pacino has, and with more success.

My nod has to go to De Niro, but let's face it, both of these guys are awesome and I can't wait to see them both (along with Joe Pesci) in The Irishman next year.
