Out of curiosity I checked Verizon's web site. Gold 64gb won't ship till Nov 4.

Skipping the 5s since my wife and I both got the 5 a year ago today actually. Updated to iOS7 though and like it a lot.

We'll get the 6 next year if all goes as usual.

Yeah, I know they sold out extremely fast! Until now I've had the 4s 32gig and I've been out of space for months now, so I've opted for the 64 this time. But The apple store I went to only had like 5-10 gold ones.

Yeah, I've heard they only had up to a couple dozen gold phones at the stores for launch. I'll definitely go with a 32gb this time (my 16gb isn't enough, and there are a bunch more photos I want to add to my phone).

I'm on the opposite cycle. When I switched from my Droid X the 4S was the newest one. I prefer it this way. The S is a bit better and more refined. But I can't upgrade until April. Oh well. I have no need to get the latest immediately.

Yeah photos take up so much space! I'm constantly having to move my photos/videos onto my computer. What really kills my memory is my music, which takes up close to 17gb of my space as of right now.

Yeah, I have to rotate my pictures between my phone and computer based on what I might need them for. When I had FB it wasn't really a problem because most of them were uploaded there, but now I rely on just my phone for sharing pics. I currently only have about 6gb worth of music on my phone, and no videos. When I had a 32gb itouch before, I had all my music plus some movies and never had to worry about it.
But dang, 17 gigs of music is a whole lotta tunes! That would come in handy for some of my road trips!!

this. got my 4 the day it came out. skipped the 4S cus I bought the Camaro. Was going to get the 5 but by the time I was ready, it was only 6 months from the 5S so I waited. It still worked fine at that point. Then suddenly it got all weird and laggy. battery goes from 30% to completely dead while I'm sleeping and phone is locked and in Do Not Disturb mode. it'll be nice one I pick up my silver 64G 5S, but I'm traveling on a long work trip and not stable enough to get one shipped so I'm going to have to wait to find a store with stock. crap...

The phone does lock up from time to time, most of the time in the App Store. But it still works, not unbearable.

Being a tech guy I would say if you have a 4 or 4S then it is worth the upgrade if you town supports LTE. The speed increase there alone is awesome if into videos and music. Wife and I each have a 5 and it is not worth the price to upgrade for a little speed increase, fingerprint and camera. We are planning to get a 6 and then wait for a 7 since the S's are just minor refreshes to keep revenue stream coming in for Apple.
