While I highly doubt this is a legit story, I find it funny how many people say they would not trade a Camaro for a Lamborghini Countach. Really? Because it may need serviced? Because it's old? Because they're hard to back up? because they're difficult and temperamental to drive in traffic? Because it's worth 3 or 4 times what a Camaro is worth? Because etc. etc. ? Seriously? It's a Lambo for trade even-steven for a Camaro for god's sake!
If it's a legit car and he drove it to where you saw it under it's own power, it would be the trade of the century as far as I can tell.

Depending on what year it is I don't think the Countach even has fuel injection. I'm about 99% positive the early models did not. The point is there are not a lot of electronics in the car to fail. The V12 engine is known for being bulletproof. Not basing this on experience, just comments from Jay Leno's garage. I also know their value at auction has sky rocketed in recent years, as the design is often heralded as one of the most important of the 20th century.

Yeah Leno said he used his '86, one of the last carbureted ones, as a daily driver for 5 years and it has 70K miles on it. As stated above, the one in the Stutz collection is one of their most reliable cars. After all that is why Lamborghini branched out from building tractors and started building cars, he was so disappointed in the quality and reliability of the Ferrari he bought and when Enzo blew him off he decided to build a better car.

Well, my opinion would be to have an authorized mechanic look over the car before making any decisions, also the old guy should have all maintenance records available because its an exotic car. Last, the deal with parking is kinda funny to me....I've always used the side mirrors to park, the rear view for me is only used while driving to see who's behind, to cover blind spots..

Did you see Jay's video at the 8:50 mark where they show the non-existent rear view, and Jay's doesn't have the rear wing which obscures what very little view there would be. I'm sure the owners that reverse them that way do that for good reason.
Pretty bad ass looking car for being about 25 years old, it's an '89 and has fuel injection. The counter behind it that it is sitting BELOW is about 45 inches. |

What if this what if that. Blah.
Just check out the car, check out the VIN and found out the facts. No point listening to all these negative nancy speculators.
