hmmm some old person wants to trade a car that still brings almost 100k-200k and is going up for value for a car that is worth 30k. Yeah something is not right about that. An engine service on the Countach cost as much as our Camaros with the labor cost of just syncing the 12 carbs on it.

You can buy a copo and z/28 for the price of Countach if he sold it.

Well you wouldn't have to worry about rear visibility, THERE IS NONE!!! To back the thing up you need to sit on the door sill with your body outside the car so you can see to back it up.
Interestingly the owner of the building where I work (former Stutz Factory) has a rare pearl white 25th Ann. Countach. Also has a '83 Ferrari 400I Straman convertible conversion and a '84 512BB. Every time they get either of the Ferraris out they struggle with fuel and sometimes ignition problems and have to fuss with them to get them running on all 12 cylinders. They say the Countach is one of the most trouble free cars they have, (they don't get driven on a regular basis).

There is nothing right about it. Nobody in their right mind would trade an appreciating classic lamborghini for a depreciating camaro SS. Somebody that has a Countach can afford to buy a 30k car and not lose a 100k on the deal.

Thats a smart choice.

It could be a rebuilt wreck or in need of some serious maintenance or repairs.

It may be real. You folks are using "normal people" logic but most rich people with piles of money have no sense at all. When you lose sense of value, these sort of deals come along. At very least, go look at the car and see if it's a kit car and go from there.

Make sure it isn't a replica built on a Fiero

That pretty much sums it up. The guy would have to be totally insane to trade a real Countach for your Camaro, but even if it was legit the maintenance costs would probably be more than your mortgage.

You would think someone with the means to own a Lamborghini would install a back up camera.

I also don't get how you drive it sitting on the sill. I assume that a Lamborghini would be a stick. How would you reach all the pedals?

That's the dumbest thing I have heard. You don't get and keep piles of money by doing bad deals. Most rich and super rich people are very tight pocketed and only take calculated risk that net them profit. Not go out and blow it on nothing. Well unless they got it by winning the lottery. These deals only come along in fairy tails or Internet forums.

Countach? So an old ass car? For your car that runs good and doesn't cost much to maintain(and I assume you have a bit of warranty left)?

I mean Lambos are not doubt cool, contemporary, classics either way, but I wouldn't take a car that old that usually cost that much to maintain as a daily driver if that's the situation.

Bottom line, really comes down to your financial situation, if you can afford to own a Lambo, then you can afford to own a Lambo.

I gotta disagree with you as far as investments and money goes I couldn't agree more but cars thats a different story we have one guy around here super rich very very intelligent when it comes to investing and business management but holy shit but traded a 2008 Ferrari for a zl1 to trade that 1 month later for a 427 anniversary corvette I haven't seen him in awhile so hard telling what else has gone on in that garage. Maybe the guy just likes your car compared to others he's seen its worth a look.
