Anyone ever do an ExoticDriving track day?

Has anyone here done an ExoticDriving track day? http://www.exoticdriving.com/drives/

It is where you pay $XXX.XX to drive an exotic car around a track for a specific amount of laps.

Has anyone done this one? or one like it? and care to share your opinion of the experience?

I have gone to the Baltimore Grand Prix and spend $300 per weekend and wondered if I should just use the money to have my own personal Grand Prix.

My buddy did one. They had their person riding shotgun and wouldn't let him get too crazy. No passing iirc.

I have done Exotic Car Racing in Vegas at the LVMS several times well worth it IMHO. One of my customers while I was at SEMA in 2010 hooked me up I did drive several cars in all about 3 hours. I enjoyed it why not its not every day you get to drive $200K+ cars

Wow.. Gonna have to check this out. I'll probably go to the track when they're down here and just watch, if it looks like they aren't too strict on how you drive I may have to book one.

Hell, even if they are strict it's still gotta be fun.

Sounds like fun, never did something like this. They have some opening 2 weeks from now, looks like I might have to experience this.

I did this at LVMS in Vegas as well. You pay for how many laps you want to do, and an instructor sits in the car with you and comments most of the time while you drive.
You tell them ahead of time your experience level, and they'll tell you to go faster or slower depending on how you are doing.

Since I did three days at Ron Fellows' High Performance Driving school the day before this, I got to drive a 458 Italia in Race mode ( they don't put it in Race mode much), and haul on a V8 Vantage. I also drove a Gallardo Superleggera LP560, but I didn't fit in it properly so I couldn't get comfortable going fast.

I've never done one, but it is coming to Dallas in November and I am hoping to do it. I think it would be well worth it! To be able to drive super cars, even for just a few hours would be awesome!

I did the Andretti racing school at LVMS and it was a blast!

I also did the "drive" which used to be behind the Sahara hotel. I was pushing a CTS-V into a corner hard when the "instructor" panicked and yanked the E-brake almost putting us into the wall. I drove back to the pits and flipped out on the guy, yelling " WTF are you thinking, yanking the brake while under power in a hard turn?!?!" The manager came out and once he got the story, started grouching at the guy too.

... They gave me my money back

I have done "World Class Driving" a couple of times. WCD used to offer half day supercar thrashing sessions on public back roads all over the country (AMAZING!!) But they sold out the company and now only do "spirited" drives through the desert near Las Vegas now (BOOR-ING!). I would not even bother with WCD now.

Didier Theys left WCD and started his own company with a partner and it is much like the original format. Not cheap but you do get to have a BLAST thrashing Lambos and Ferarris etc. Check out www.DXLus.com

I did the Exotics Racing one out in Vegas last summer. It was a blast! I did 5 laps in the Lambo LP570. Instructor was there in the passenger seat giving instructions. There was no holding back, he had me going as fast as it would go. When I was out of a corner and on the gas it was floored, and when I was on the brake It was really hard on the brake. I would definitely do it again...

Also, I did get to pass an Audi on the track. When you come up on a car, the instructor in the lead car will grab the wheel and us the hazards to indicate he has control, then your instructor will tell you which side to pass on...
