Normal.. cast iron rust quickly specially if car is close to the ocean. Replacing with stainless steel headers will fix that ;-)

Yup salt air will do that fast. My 1999 Grand Prix GTP had very little rust on the exhaust headers and two weeks after moving from Kansas to the Jersey shore they looked like yours.

Look at Brake rotors after they sit on a lot for a couple weeks << same thing <<< Move here and you will be crying about SALT on the ROADS. That's why the my CAMARO goes in the garage for the winter.
